1 BIG Day

Suitable for:

• All road legal dual-purpose adventure motorcycles fitted with new to near new knobbly tyres.

• Shortcuts in place if necessary!

DESCRIPTION 

1 BIG Day is a GPS navigated adventure ride taking riders approximately 600km in a day, including many offshoots onto private farmland and forestry roads and tracks in and around the Southern Waikato region starting and finishing in Te Awamutu. This ride will take us over some superb land we havent had the privilege of exploring before!

It will take you on a journey through some spectacular scenic areas with many awesome tracks across private lands linking the route together! Depending on the weather,there may be sections that will require a moderate level of off-road rider skills. These sections may include short steeper inclines and declines, slippery/muddy terrain or stream crossings. These are generally shorter sections, taking you onto another backroad which is easily ridable. There will be shortcuts in place, as this is going to be a huge day if you complete it all!

It is important that you, or at least one rider in your group is competent at using GPS form of navigation.

Ride fee $150 includes:

• Friday night registration and briefing at 

• Sweep crew and support vehicle

• GPS co-ordinates

• Land Access Fees

REGISTRATION MEET & GREET:

Registration Friday 6th December from 6.00pm with briefing 8.00pm. This will be at Ferkin Sports Bar, 235 Sloane Street, Te Awamutu. A great pre-ride chance for everyone to have a catch-up and a chinwag, and ensure you are all prepared to get away early the following morning without any hitches. This will include a pre-ride briefing, where all riders must sign-on, and attend for the briefing at 8pm. 

Then it’s all go EARLY Saturday morning to head out and start your adventure. This is 1 BIG day, so don't expect to be home early afternoon unless you take the shortcuts! We can meet back at the Bar late afternoon, early evening for some well deserved refreshments and to swap some stories!
